If you're in business chances are you probably have made a number of deals. I happen to agree with Donald Trump on this point that deal making is an art form that needs to be developed and can only be honed by practicing the craft.
You see, most people go into negotiations with only thoughts about what they can get and what matters most to them. People tend to be selfish in their pursuit of a deal. But If a deal is what you want then that's actually the wrong way to go about getting one.
Deal making is all about figuring out what the other party is looking for and how you can help them get what they want while also getting what you want in return.
It's a selfless but yet self interest seeking art form.
