One of the capabilities of luxury is that it makes us believe. It gives us something to aspire to and something to imagine.
For some, certain luxuries may never be within their grasp; but the very thought of believing they can achieve such a lavish feat gives them hope to reach higher.
That statement alone is worth pondering a minute. Isn’t it interesting that a certain kind of home, car, bag, or experience is powerful enough to not only motivate a person to one day earn enough or save enough to buy it; but it can also make a person feel like they are someone else or better yet someone more superior.
Of course this idea is not meant to sound shallow as we all know that a luxury product or experience can’t actually transform anyone inwardly—but some believe it can; and beliefs are much more powerful than what is true.
