I believe that reading is absolutely essential to our personal growth. I honestly couldn't imagine life without reading; and acquiring new insight from others. So I wanted to take a moment and share with you some authors and books that have certainly made a big impact on my thinking. I hope you find time to dive into a few of these yourself!
Seth Godin, is the author of the Lizard Brain, Tribes, Purple Cow, Icarus Deception, amongst many other best-sellers. Seth is known as, American's Greatest Marketer, but most importantly he is known for his ability to give valuable insight through his use of storytelling.
Malcolm Gladwell, is the author of the Tipping Point, Outliers, and his most recent work David and Goliath to name a few. Malcolm, in my opinion, is one of the greatest thinkers of our time. As you read through his books he, literally, causes you to to think differently about a subject. Malcolm is also a splendid storyteller and he is a must have in your library--no matter your profession.
Jim Collins, is the author of Good to Great, Great By Choice, and How The Mighty Falls, amongst other popular works. Not only does Jim do an incredible job articulating how companies win (or fail) in the world of business but his findings also challenges the individual, the entrepreneur, and the employee. The principles Jim lay out in his books are universal and timeless.
Charles Duhigg, is the author of The Power of Habit. This book is a must have! In the book, Duhigg talks about how much habit actually influences our daily life. He also shows how one can change their habits by replacing it with a new one. Very intriguing read. I highly recommend it.
Richard Koch, is the author of the The 80/20 Principle. I'm sure you've heard of the Pareto Principle before, better known as the 80/20 rule, which states that 20% of the work you do is responsible for 80% of the results. Koch illuminates this idea and attempts to have the reader focus in on that top 20%. Great read!
When you have a moment, pick up, or download, a few of these books into your library. I'm sure they'll be worth it!
If you found this to be valuable it would mean a lot if you subscribed and shared it with someone you know. Thanks for Reading!
